Case Report — Documentation

Accusation

  • Issuing false health certificates pursuant to § 278 StGB (German Criminal Code)
  • “False contraindication” in multiple cases

What actually happened?

  • I personally examined and treated all patients homeopathically, some of them over many years.
  • I issued the certificates based on at least one-hour medical histories, in some cases supported by medical findings (including allergies, immune disorders, anxiety disorders, pre-existing neurological conditions / seizures). The certificates reflected my medical conviction and the Declaration of Geneva.

Current Status

  • The investigation following the first search was discontinued in May 2024.
  • The investigations related to the second and third searches as well as the criminal complaint for misuse of title are still ongoing.
Impact — Documentation

Professional impact

  • Massive work overload due to enormous patient influx because of my reputation for still issuing certificates. As a result, I fell seriously ill multiple times.
  • Reduction of the practice.

Financial impact

  • Legal costs and additional time expenditure, resulting in exhaustion
  • Dwindling income, practice no longer profitable.

Personal impact

  • Exhaustion
  • Severe acute illnesses (pneumonia, twice, among others)
  • Severe family tensions with husband and adult children

Collegial reactions

  • Individual colleagues showed solidarity.
  • However, the majority distanced themselves, including long-standing friends.

Press reactions

The regional daily newspaper reported in a defamatory and prejudicial manner in April 2022.

Outlook

Despite everything, I would act the same way again. My desperate patients have a right to a fair individual medical assessment, and I have the duty to help them. Despite a patient admission freeze, new patients plead and beg to be accepted, in order to have their unvaccinated children treated homeopathically in case of illness.

I wish that this documentation contributes to informing the public about what has happened to doctors in this country.
I expect full rehabilitation and compensation.

January 2020:
Beginning of issuing vaccination exemptions for patients with medical indication
29 March 2022:
First house search of practice and private residence; seizure of patient files and copying of the practice IT system
April 2022:
Sensationalist, defamatory press report, also online (my son abroad learns about the search through this)
May 2024:
Discontinuation of investigations and right to compensation (i.e., the first search was not lawful)
February 2025:
Application for compensation; repeated responses from the public prosecutor with renewed requests for documentation, the application has not been decided to this day
April 2025:
Accusation of convenience certificates by the Medical District Association of Middle Franconia
August 2025:
Criminal complaint by another public health office for alleged misuse of title
7 October 2025:
Second practice search with seizure of patient files
28 January 2026:
Third practice search with seizure of patient files
February 2026:
