What actually happened?

After observing several vaccination complications, some of them severe, I sought to draw attention within my hospital to the legal duty to report vaccination complications.

In order to inform the heads of the relevant departments, I invited them to a meeting at which I intended to present the data already available at that time using a PowerPoint slideshow and to draw attention to the legal duty to report vaccination complications. In the presence of an administrative officer and the medical director, this was prevented; I was insulted as a “wrong-way driver” (a German idiom denoting someone going against the consensus) and as “a bad doctor whom patients should give a wide berth”.

At the time, the introduction of a general vaccination mandate was being publicly debated, and I considered it my responsibility to warn the public, since the medical profession (keyword: underreporting) had failed them.

Carrying a sign reading “I oppose the vaccination mandate because I have witnessed too many complications”, I warned against the vaccination at a demonstration on 24 January 2022. The speech was filmed and published on YouTube.

Postscript (as of 2026): The internal hospital data on pulmonary embolisms cited by the hospital in its public distancing – I have requested access to them several times. To date I have never been shown them. Based on my own clinical experience I consider the cited analysis highly questionable.

Current Status

• The dismissal remains in force.
• The professional disciplinary proceedings were decided in my favour. However, I had referred to a denouncer at the Medical Chamber as an “arsehole” – an insult that was punished with a €5,000 fine.
