Press reactions

• The regional daily newspaper BZ reported online on 23.1.21, in print on 25 January 2021 under the headline “Protest after raid – Police investigate a Staufen practice over mask certificates / Doctor rejects allegations”. The online report led to abusive comments on the internet as well as cheering and ridicule from Antifa; on 23.1. to violence and vandalism at the entrance to my private apartment and at our letterbox. This was followed by defamatory and threatening letters to my private address, as well as three death threats that were recorded by the criminal police.
• On 11 August 2021, the BZ headlined on page 17 “Expert opinion on mask certificates still in August” (here a denouncer is given a voice) and on page 20 “Certificate investigations continue” (with quotations from my rally speeches under the motto: »Külken has spread his massive criticism of the Corona policy, going as far as pandemic denial, repeatedly in online videos and at rallies of self-proclaimed ‘Querdenker’.«).

Outlook

• In conformity with the medical professional code, the applicable laws and regulations, and my medical judgement, it was a self-evident duty to certify for patients in need that wearing a mask was unreasonable for them on health grounds. Any other conduct would have been unprofessional, inhumane, and unjust.
• »Act according to your own wisdom, but in the spirit of the well-being of others.« – In the spirit of this universally human maxim of Rudolf Steiner, I shall continue to strive to practise my medical profession.
• However, since March 2020 all political, legal, psychological, media and economic levers have been set in motion to bring a new image of the human being to power. What a human being is has been radically reinterpreted. At the centre of the old image of the human being stood the spiritual individuality of each person: »Human dignity is inviolable«.
  Now human beings are regarded merely as biological hazardous material and as a disposable mass at the disposal of technocrats. The resulting erosion of our lived reality was declared by the Chancellor to be the »New Normal«. And the President of the Federal Constitutional Court added: »Fundamental rights still apply, but they apply differently than before the crisis« – which amounts to saying: »Every person is still called a ‘person’, they just aren’t one any more.« In this intellectual atmosphere, the crimes against the population were not only socially accepted but also vigorously fuelled.
  Enlightenment must therefore also mean: help towards self-enlightenment about one’s own true human nature.
